It’s been clear to us that Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande have been basically obsessed with each other since the first second they started dating. But we didn’t realize just how serious they were until the news broke that they were engaged and planning to marry each other approximately just five minutes (okay, it was a few weeks) after their relationship started. It turns out, though, that they didn’t even take that long to decide that what they had was the real deal. In a new interview with GQ, Pete revealed that he was actually ready to propose as soon as he asked her out on a date. Yeah, they’ve got it bad.

“The day I met her, I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow,'” the SNL star told the magazine. “She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, ‘Do you like any of these?’ She was like, ‘Those are my favorite ones,’ and I was like, ‘Sick.'” Can you believe?

They’ve also already moved in together, scoring a $16 million Manhattan apartment — which, obvs, Ari paid for. “She’s really sweet,” he said. “She’s like, ‘This is our house,’ and I’m like, ‘You’re very nice for saying that. Thank you for letting me stay here.’ She’s like, ‘We’re getting married!’ And I’m like, ‘I know, thank you for letting me stay here.'”

Honestly, we get what Ari sees in Pete. He’s definitely cute, but he also just cracks us TF up. And he’s so obviously head over heels for Ari that it’s hard not to fall a little in love with them yourself. It also helps that they know that they’re annoying AF. Points for self-awareness, and all that. But we’ll just always remember when Jimmy Kimmel asked the comedian about their relationship while Pete was on his show, and he responded, “I feel like I won a contest! It’s so sick… It’s f–kin’ lit, Jimmy!” As weird and over the top as they are, he and Ari are doing it all together. “We’re learning how to be adults,” he told GQ. “We’re having a really fun time.”
