Pink Isn't Letting the Internet Pit Her Against Christina Aguilera

It wasn’t long before singer Pink’s reaction to Christina Aguilera's performance at the 2017 American Music Awards went viral. It was during Xtina’s tribute to the late Whitney Houston that the camera panned to the audience, showing Pink seemingly furrow her brow — and making fans think she was throwing shade at the powerhouse vocalist. But the "Beautiful Trauma" singer cleared up the whole incident on Twitter. Watch the video below to see her response!

It’s not unreasonable for fans to think that the two musicians are feuding. Pink, 38, recently appeared on the Bravo show Watch What Happens Live and opened up about her long-standing rocky relationship with Christina, 36. The duo worked together on the hit 2001 song "Lady Marmalade," and apparently went head-to-head.

“We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha,” Pink said back in October. “I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We’re just very different, we’re very different…You have to learn — women have to learn how to support each other. It’s not taught to each other in the playground.”

Well, these days it’s clear that Pink is a force of modern feminism. Back in August at the 2017 VMAs, the mother-of-two gave a powerful speech while accepting the Video Vanguard Award that was dedicated to her daughter Willow. She told a story about how she created a Powerpoint presentation detailing all the androgynous musicians throughout history like Michael Jackson and David Bowie.

“When people make fun of me…they say that I look like a boy or that I’m too masculine or that I have too many opinions or my body is too strong,” she explained. “I said to [my daughter], I said, ‘Do you see me growing my hair?’ She said, ‘No, momma.’ I said, ‘Do you see me changing my body?’ She said, ‘No, momma.' So, baby girl, we don’t change. We take the gravel in the shell and we make a pearl and we help other people to change so that they can see more kinds of beauty.”
