Hollywood’s not just about who’s acting in what, who’s best dressed, or who’s dating whom — it’s also a place where politics matters.
With the presidential election today, many celebrities are revealing which candidate their voting for.
Whose vote goes to President Barack Obama? Who’s giving their vote to Mitt Romney? Check out a list of stars who’ve made their decision public below!
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
Beyoncé and Jay-ZThis powerful duo have been quite active in supporting the incumbent. Jay-Z just performed at the prez’s rally in Ohio last night. He and his wife also raised $4 million in campaign funds for Obama at Jay’s NYC-based 40/40 club.
Katy PerryThis pop songstress has been making her voice heard — literally. The “Teenage Dream” singer has sung for the president multiple times…even wearing his slogan “Forward” and name on her dresses.
Eva LongoriaEva helped rally support at the Democratic National Convention. “We’re lucky our president understands the value of American opportunity, because he’s live it,” she said during her DNC speech.
George ClooneyHe’s been a longtime supporter of the 44th POTUS. Earlier this month, George and girlfriend Stacy Keibler attended a rally for Obama in LA. “We got to know each other, and he is a good man, and a good friend,” the prez has said about the A-lister.
Natalie PortmanThe Academy-Award winning actress helped rally the women’s vote while campaigning for Obama in Nevada in August. “President Obama fights for women every day, and I am so proud to stand with him on behalf of women and girls across the country," she's said.
Melissa Joan HartShe’s kept quiet, until now! Yesterday the 36-year-old actress revealed she’s voting red this election. “Can’t get too political in only 140 [characters] but for those asking, I’m voting #RomneyRyan,” she tweeted to 257,000 followers.
Kelsey GrammerThe Boss star is a massive advocate for the GOP candidate. “I think he’d make a terrific president,” he said. “I think he’d be very good at it. He’s a clear thinking. He’s a kind man, you know, and he makes a lot of sense.”
Kid RockHe’s appeared at many of the Republic candidate’s campaign rallies. He’s called Mitt’s Vice President running mate, Paul Ryan, “a fellow hunter, a fellow fan of rock ‘n’ roll and a great Midwesterner who shares a vision not only with Mitt Romney, but also with myself.”
Clint EastwoodIn perhaps one of the most famous moments from the presidential race this year, Clint supported Mitt during the Republican National Convention. The 82-year-old director criticized an invisible Obama sitting in a chair on stage, saying, “So Mr. President, how do you handle promises you made when you were running for people?”
Donald TrumpThe Donald is no stranger to sharing his opinions and he’s a big supporter of the presidential candidate. “The Republicans have to get tougher or they’re going to lose this campaign,” he’s said.
And they’re not the only stars who are getting the word out about voting. Celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Selena Gomez, Jonah Hill and more have all joined forces in a new video for Vote4Stuff, where they plead — humorously — with Americans to go out and vote today. See below:
Now we’ll just have to wait and see which group of A-listers comes out with a smile!
