After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement on Monday, Nov. 27, fans immediately wanted to know: What date is the wedding? Just one day later, the palace gave more specifics about their upcoming nuptials. So...
During a special briefing at Buckingham Palace, the duo's Kensington Palace spokesperson revealed that Meghan and Harry will get married in May. The ceremony will take place in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. “Windsor is a very special place for Prince Harry, and he and Ms. Markle have regularly spent time there during the last year,” the spokesperson shared. “They are delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle will be where they begin their lives as a married couple.”
According to the Mirror, bookmakers had been placing bets on when the wedding would take place, with many correctly speculating that Harry and Meghan would wait until after the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's third child, which is due in April.

In their first joint interview, Harry and Meghan shared details of the famous redhead's proposal, which took place at their London residence, Nottingham Cottage. "It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage; just a standard typical night for us," Harry explained.
"Just a cozy night, it was — what we were doing just roasting chicken and having..." Meghan added, before Harry hilariously noted, "trying to roast a chicken." The bride-to-be continued, "It just — [was] an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee."
"I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly — it was a confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned," Harry stated. "This beautiful woman literally tripped and fell into my life. I fell into her life and the fact that she will be unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is obviously a huge relief to me because she’ll be able to deal with everything else that comes with it."
