A day after they welcomed a new daughter into the world, happy parents Prince William and Kate Middleton are finally speaking out.
As the world waits for the new princess' name to be revealed, William and Kate released a statement Sunday, expressing their thanks for the well-wishes that have come to them from across the globe.

“The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world,” their press office said in the statement.

“It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter.”
The couple have been spending their Sunday welcoming family eager to get a peek at their new arrival. Carole and Pippa Middleton were the first to pop by. Then Prince Charles and Camilla drove themselves to Kensington Place to meet Charles' first granddaughter.
The little girl is the fifth great grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II, who will likely be meeting the little girl later this week.
