Two months after announcing that she’s pregnant with her first child, Mama June‘s daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon revealed on Oct. 5 that she’s expecting a baby girl! The 17-year-old said, “I kind of want a girl because, of course, another me, duh!” — so she was very excited to find out that she’d be having a daughter.

In a video showing the gender reveal — during which the mom-to-be bites into a cupcake — Pumpkin says of her little sister Honey Boo Boo, “I think Alana’s going to flip her s–t because you know, she’s the baby girl of the family, and now she’s not going to be no more.” The reality star, who’s been engaged to fiancé Josh Efird for over a year, added, “I don’t think you guys are ready for another little me!”

Back in August, Pumpkin predicted she’d be giving birth to a daughter, saying, “If I had to bet — because of all the girls in our family — I’m probably having a girl.” The teen also admitted that she’s nervous about having a baby, but feels like her mother, Mama June, 38, will be an “alright” grandma. We sure hope that’s the case, considering June already has two grandchildren — Kaitlyn, 5, and Kylee, 22 months — from her estranged daughter Anna (aka Chickadee).

We wonder if Pumpkin has been inspired to eat healthy during her pregnancy because of her mom’s recent weight loss transformation. “I do encourage them to lose weight, but they’re teenagers. If [having surgery] would make them confident, then yes, I would recommend the surgery,” she shared.

As for whether she plans on doing a second season of her WEtv show, Mama June: From Not to Hot, the mother-of-four said, “It just depends on the negotiations and everybody being on the same page.”
