The co-hosts of The View have had their fair share of controversy, and 29-year-old Raven-Symoné has done it again.
The host, and former star of the Disney Channel's That's So Raven spoke out during the table's discussion about a new study that reveals Americans make racist assumptions about people based on their names. The program showed a video about the "60 most ghetto names," and Symone voiced her opinions.

“Just to bring it back, can we take back ‘racist’ and say ‘discriminatory,’ because I think that’s a better word,” Symoné said during the show. “And I am very discriminatory against words like the ones that they were saying in the video. I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’s just not going to happen. I’m not going to hire you.”
Immediately, viewers of the show took to Twitter to voice their strong objections to the host's powerful statements.

I am absolutely disgusted in @ravensymone. Everything 'Raven Baxter' taught us growing, she has completely dismissed & forgot about.— Charleigh Rose (@iamcharleigh_) October 10, 2015

Don't let Raven's simple minded opinion discourage you! If you have the knowledge it won't go unnoticed no matter what your name is!— Jonica Booth (@Blu1x) October 9, 2015

Symoné has yet to respond to the conversation on Twitter, but the former sitcom star is certainly facing backlash from the social media community. Take a look at the segment here:
