"You've got to live life to the fullest, because you never know when it's going to stop." And that's exactly what the single mother of Riley, 8, did when she decided to give love a second chance, this time with Willis McGahee. The charming Baltimore Ravens running back sought out Kandi when he flew down to Atlanta to meet her after a mutual friend's suggestion. "He's really cool. He's fun to be around," Kandi gushes about Willis, whom viewers will see taking Kandi on a date in the premiere. "It was a great thing to meet him when I did."
When asked if Willis is the one, Kandi says, "I don't want it to seem like I'm sitting here waiting and praying he's going to pop the question!" But she is looking for a lasting relationship. "Anybody that I actually give my time and attention to...I have to see potential in the future with that person."
Next up for the R&B singer: her upcoming album, Kandi Koated, coming out on Nov. 23 and a 30-city tour with Eric Benét and American Idol alum Fantasia Barrino kicking off in November. For now, Kandi's content just to be living in the moment. "I've wanted to come back with the hottest album I possibly could," she says. "And everything right now seems to be going perfectly."
