Last night’s MTV Movie Awards proved to be nothing short of unpredictable.

And as Melissa McCarthy noted on the carpet, “no one is safe at all” from host Rebel Wilson – and they weren’t.

Between the Australian star’s hosting gig, Selena Gomez showing off a sexy new look and Will Ferrell’s money suit, we’ve compiled a list of the show’s most interesting moments.

Rebel’s a Rebel
From the very moment the hilarious comedienne opened the show with James Franco (complete with a Channing Tatum body pillow in tow) and her wardrobe malfunction all the way to asking Zac Efron to give her an Australian kiss (definition according to Rebel: “It’s like a French kiss but down under), the 27-year-old – who also won Breakthrough Performance for her role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect – definitely didn’t hold back her raunchy humor.

One of her many inappropriate jokes? On the award for Sexiest Beard, “Nominees for that include Ben Affleck for Argo, Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln, and Lena Dunham’s vagina. [Crowd gasps] What? It’s been on a lot of faces.”

And we can’t even get over her outfits: A Koala zip-up sweatshirt, a Iron "Mangina" suit, a leather ensemble – only Rebel could pull ‘em off.

Eat Your Heart Out, Bieber
Buh-bye Disney sweetheart — hello sexy vixen. Selena, who looked gorgeous in a gold fringe dress on the red carpet, performed her new single “Come & Get It” complete with a Bollywood vibe. And if she was trying to grab a certain ex’s attention (cough, Justin Bieber, cough) she definitely did just that. Check it out below.

That Was Freakin’ Awesome
Yes, we’re quoting Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop.” They had the whole Sony Pictures Studios rocking with their upbeat and energetic performance of "Can't Hold Us" – we spotted actress Kerry Washington getting really into it in her seat!

No Kiss…for Best Kiss?!
Listen, we’re super happy that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence won the award – but Jen wasn’t there and the pair couldn’t reenact their special moment from Silver Linings Playbook! It was surprising considering practically every year, the awards show is known for having the two stars at least accept the Golden Popcorn together…then either go in for the kiss or make a joke about it. Remember Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ win for The Notebook? Or Twilight's Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson teasing the crowd?

Sweet Speech
Emma Watson accepted the award for Trailblazer and looked adorable doing so – but it was her kind words that were most intriguing. With tears in her eyes, the young starlet thanked practically everyone. On what comes to mind looking back at her 14-year acting career, she said, “Most importantly…how bad my hair was in the first Harry Potter film.” Gorgeous, talented and a sense of humor – you have to love this girl.

Aubrey Plaza Crashes Will Ferrell’s Hilarious Speech
This year’s Comedic Genius award went to Will, but it wasn’t his money suit or bringing his fake family onstage that was most memorable. At one point, Aubrey left her seat, walked onstage and interrupted Will’s moment with her new movie’s name “The To Do List” written in black marker across her chest. Luckily, he was a good sport about it. “What’s happening?” the 45-year-old actor asked the crowd, before asking Aubrey, “Are you okay?” She didn’t say a word and quickly retreated to her seat and Will cracked that things went down “just like rehearsals.” It was…weird.

Channing Tatum Totally Dissed
Okay, obviously Taylor Lautner has an amazing bod, but was anyone else surprised when Channing lost out to him!? And then Taylor didn’t even show his famous six-pack abs, opting to wear fake padding underneath his shirt instead. Blasphemy.

Kim Kardashian Flaunts Bump in LBD
Taking the stage to announce Selena’s performance, Kim showed off her growing tummy to the crowd in a little black dress.

Hungry for More Hunger Games
Liam Hemsworth hit the stage to premiere the teaser trailer for the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. And it only left us wanting more! Dark, mysterious, suspenseful…just three of the many words to describe it. Check it out:

Overprotective Dad Award
Jamie Foxx had us laughing with his acceptance speech for the Generation award – especially when he embarrassed his 19-year-old daughter! He made note of her short dress, that she’s single – and her expression caught on camera said it all.

Brad Pitt – Need We Say More?
To end the show, Angelina Jolie’s better half announced the winner for Best Movie. The crowd went wild as soon as he hit the stage.

Bieber Diss
JB wasn’t there, but that didn’t stop The Avengers director from making a dig at the teen sensation. After the flick won Best Movie, Joss Whedon said on the opposite of being humbled by the win, “We’re Biebered to be standing here tonight.”
