Mother-of-three Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth are encountering marital problems as they are reportedly disagreeing over whether or not to expand their family.

While Jim hopes to add another little one into the mix, Reese is content with their family as it is — and their fighting over the matter is allegedly causing major tension in their four-year marriage.

“They had a huge fight recently, and it was pretty bad,” an insider told Life & Style.

Reese is under a lot of pressure between caring for the couple’s son Tennessee, 3, and sharing custody of her other children, Ava, 15, and Deacon, 11, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. “It is a lot for her,” the source adds. “[They] have been avoiding each other until they can figure out how they can compromise.”

Though the Oscar winner, 39, seems set in her ways, Jim, 45, is still hopeful that his wife will change her mind.

“Reese will be 40 next year, and he wants another baby before it’s too late.”
