Betty and Archie will become a couple.

This theory isn't hard to believe it all. Despite the adamant objections from Bughead and Varchie fans everywhere — there's a good chance that Barchie will become an item this season. In fact, let's not forget that Kevin in the first episode declared that Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews weren't dating but were "endgame."

Cheryl and Jason aren't actually twins.

Whoa, what?! Hear us out because this actually makes sense. There's a meme floating around Twitter that questions if Jason and Cheryl Blossom are actually twins. It reads, "When I realize that Polly and Jason are in the same class, but Cheryl is Jason's twin sister and Cheryl is in the same class as Betty but Polly is older than Betty." Confused yet? Us too.

Madelaine Petsch (who plays Cheryl) was recently asked about the meme by YouTuber Shane Dawson. She played coy and simply said, "Interesting… anything's possible in Riverdale" leading fans to believe that Jason and Cheryl might be different ages and therefore not twins.

Alice isn't Betty's mother.

Alice Cooper is full of secrets… first, it was her secret child and then it was her secret Serpent past. But, redditor -1Crackers believes that Penny Peabody is behind the Black Hood crimes.

"Penny Peabody is the half-sister of Alice Cooper and the biological mother of Betty Cooper, that's why she is the mastermind behind the Black Hood," the user wrote. The theory is that Penny regrets giving her daughter (Betty) up to her sister (Alice) and is now seeking revenge on Alice to prove that the North is not is the pinnacle of safety and has as many "sinners" as the Southside.

The "Black Hood" reveal was a fake-out.

This is a widely believed theory among Riverdale fans. The idea that "Black Hood" is the janitor aka Mr. Svenson aka Joseph Conway is just not a satisfying end to the mystery. Supposedly he was the only survivor of a gruesome attack on his family by the Riverdale Reaper and now is out to murder sinners. But, a lot of viewers think this is too easy and that there's a deeper story.
