Six weeks after Miley Cyrus twerked and grinded on Robin Thicke in a nude latex two piece, everyone’s still talking about — including Oprah Winfrey.On this Sunday’s episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, the “Blurred Lines” singer opens up about the controversy surrounding their sexual performance, calling it “silly.”
“I wasn’t on stage, I didn’t see it,” Robin explains. “To me, I’m walking up towards Miley, I’m not thinking sex, I’m thinking fun.”

“People ask me, ‘Do you twerk?’ and I’m like, ‘Listen, I’m the twerkee, I’m twerked upon. I don’t twerk myself. I’m just twerked upon,’” he shares.
Robin, who has a son, Julian, 3, with wife, Paula Patton, insists he was focused on performing and not on Miley’s actions.

“I’m singing my butt off. I’m standing there, I’m looking up at the sky,” he says. “I’m singing. I’m not really paying attention to all that — that’s on her.”
In the new issue of Vanity Fair, the 36-year-old says it was Miley and her twerking that really put him on the map.
“Everbody knows who I am now because I let Miley Cyrus twerk in front of me on the MTV awards,” admits the crooner. “They told me [beforehand] that Miley’s going to take her clothes off and dance around and she might bend over…I just said, I don’t care, let’s entertain people.”

As for why he went through with the number? He tells the mag, “I spent my whole career playing it safe, being a gentleman, never doing anything controversial.”
