Sam Smith Keeps Getting Skinnier and Skinnier While We Wait Impatiently for His New Album!

Weight loss looks good on Sam Smith! The singer-songwriter found fame as a result of his heartwarming hits — but now the star is being talked about for an entirely different reason. The 25-year-old is looking better than ever due to a dramatic weight loss transformation.

He recently took to Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 6, to show off his svelte frame while chopping an onion in his kitchen. “TWO MORE DAYS,” the U.K. native — who just released his latest single, “Too Good at Goodbyes” on Friday — captioned the post. “Attempting to cook to distract myself x.”

Sam previously opened up to People about how adopting a healthier diet helped him get into shape. “My relationship with food has just completely changed,” he explained to magazine. “During the process of this album, [In the Lonely Hour], I just was getting bigger and bigger and bigger.”

Thankfully, Sam recognized his unhealthy habits and set out to make a significant change. He turned to nutritionist Amelia Freer to help him get back in the kitchen, cook from scratch, and make sure he was not relying on junk food. “I met a woman who has completely changed my life,” Smith shared with fans on Instagram. “Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone [14 pounds] in two weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book and start to live healthy. It’s not even about weight loss it’s about feeling happy in yourself. Love you, Amelia, & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out.”

And luckily for fans, along with slimming down, Sam is also gearing up to finally release his long-awaited second studio album, the follow-up to his massively successful debut LP, In the Lonely Hour. “Recording,” he captioned a pic in his studio earlier this year. We can’t wait.
