Sandra Bullock is the proud mom of a little girl!
The 51-year-old reveals she adopted a three-year-old named Laila who had been in foster care in Louisiana. The news comes two months after rumors first circulated that the Oscar winner had welcomed a new addition into her family.

“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here,” Sandra, who adopted son Louis, 5, in 2010, tells People magazine. “I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time."

The brunette beauty says the process of adding another child to the mix began three years ago — with Louis' help!
“Louis spearheaded this whole journey,” Sandra explains, though admits the transition wasn't exactly smooth sailing.

“I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere,” she shares, adding that her daughter has brought “pink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans.”
Sandra is hoping that her story will shine a light on the over 415,000 kids currently in foster care in the United States. “My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding,” she says. “That’s a family.”
