This should be a happy time for Sandra Bullock. Her hit movie The Blind Side just became the first film with one female star to earn more than $200 million. The inspiring drama, along with Sandra's work in the romantic comedy The Proposal, has garnered the actress critical acclaim and a slew of award nominations. But that's not what's really important, Sandra told Life & Style at the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 6. "The only thing that does matter is the family you have," Sandra said. "Whether it's a family you made up or the family you were born with."

Sandra's real-life family is now at risk: The star and her husband of four years, Monster Garage host Jesse James, are embroiled in a bitter custody dispute over Jesse's 5-year-old daughter, Sunny. And the situation reached a breaking point on Dec. 24, when Janine Lindemulder, Sunny's biological mom, was inexplicably unable to receive Sunny for a scheduled overnight visit -- ironically, something she had fought for in court.
"Janine phoned Jesse and told him to keep Sunny," says a person familiar with the situation. "The reason is unclear, but she couldn't care for Sunny. Jesse wouldn't have kept his daughter without her mother's consent." Janine, however, claims her ex refused to turn over the little girl for the Christmas Eve visit. "Things have been quite rough these past two weeks," Janine told Life & Style.
