It’s a lose-lose situation. On Oct. 10, reports surfaced that Selena Gomez is seeking treatment after suffering an “emotional breakdown” during a hospital stay. “She has had a tough few weeks and the panic attack in the hospital was the tipping point,” a source revealed to People. Immediately following the news, diehard Selena fans flocked to Hailey Baldwin‘s Instagram to blame the model for the singer’s current state. 

ICYMI, Hailey is engaged to Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber — and many outlets have suggested that Selena has had a very difficult time processing the marriage news. “She can’t stand looking at the photos of them,” an insider previously revealed to Life & Style. “She’s traumatized by it.”

Now Selena’s followers are seemingly seeking revenge on Hailey. “Because of you, Selena is hospitalized. Shame on you! You just want money from Justin,” one user commented on Hailey’s most recent Instagram selfie. “If she dies it will be your fault. Are you happy now?” wrote another. Hundreds of the pop star’s fans have also left snake emojis and comments that say “Queen Selena.”

Naturally, fans also flocked to Justin’s Instagram to share their blame and resentment. “All of these problems are because of you. Go and f–k yourself,” one user commented. “While you’re spending fun times with your girlfriend who will never love you as [much] as Selena did, poor Selena is suffering alone at the hospital,” added another. 

At this time, neither Justin nor Hailey has publicly commented on Selena’s reported breakdown or addressed the social media backlash. On a more positive note, however, Selena will reportedly be seeking treatment. “She realized she needed to seek additional help for her ongoing emotional issues. She’s surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. She’s doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast,” an additional source told People.
