She’s putting herself first. After a very difficult year, Selena Gomez has reportedly completed a two-week program for depression and anxiety. The former Disney Channel star revealed last summer that she underwent a kidney transplant — and her health remains her top priority in 2018.

“She had a difficult year, especially towards the end, and she decided she wanted to spend some time focusing on herself,” a source told E! News. “It was all about wellness and her health.”

The source continued, “She wanted to get back to a healthy place. She feels great.” This is not the first time the 25-year-old beauty has checked into a treatment program. In 2014, she went to rehab after she was diagnosed with lupus and her mom, Mandy, suffered a miscarriage. She returned two years later, after panic attacks and anxiety forced her to cancel her Revival World Tour. “Tours are a really lonely place for me. My self-esteem was shot,” she told Vogue magazine. “I started to have panic attacks right before getting onstage, or right after leaving the stage. Basically, I felt I wasn’t good enough, wasn’t capable.”

She also explained how the 90-day program was the hardest things she had ever done — but also one of the best. “You have no idea how incredible it felt to just be with six girls,” she added. “Real people who couldn’t give two s–ts about who I was, who were fighting for their lives. DBT [Dialectical Behavior Therapy] has completely changed my life. I wish more people would talk about therapy.”

Selena secretly underwent a kidney transplant this past summer, and the experience dramatically changed the “Hands to Myself” singer’s life. “I had arthritis. My kidneys were shutting down. My mentality was just to keep going,” she told the Today Show. “As soon as I got the kidney transplant, my arthritis went away. My lupus —there’s about a 3-5 percent chance it’ll ever come back. My blood pressure is better. My energy, my life has been better.”
