The Weeknd Meets Selena Gomez’s Family at His Concert in Dallas!

He’s got the stamp of approval from her family!

Things are getting serious between Selena Gomez and her new boyfriend The Weeknd. The pop stars have been dating since January and they made their public debut as a couple during Coachella last month — and they made their red carpet debut at the 2017 Met Gala — but now it’s time for Selena’s new beau to spend some quality time with her family.

The 24-year-old has been spotted at a handful of her boyfriend’s concert stops on his Starboy: Legend of the Fall tour so of course, she attended his show in Dallas on Thursday, May 4 — and since she grew up not too far away in Grand Prairie, Texas, it seemed like the perfect time for her family to meet the guy she’s been spending so much time with.

The “It Ain’t Me” singer invited her cousin Priscilla DeLeon and her nephew Aiden to watch The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) perform near their hometown. Priscilla posted a photo of herself walking backstage at the American Airlines Center with a VIP laminate around her neck — which means the 27-year-old made sure that Sel’s family got the star treatment at his concert.

“Still got it,” Priscilla captioned a mirror selfie she took with her famous cousin.

The family outing comes just one day after Sel’s mom Mandy Cornett gave a very public seal of approval to her daughter’s boyfriend on social media! The Weeknd posted a photo of him and Selena taken on the Met Gala red carpet and Mandy posted the sweetest comment.

“Glowing, smiling, looking health and equal love. Mama is happy," she wrote.

It seems like The Weeknd grew on Mandy since she wasn’t too thrilled about her daughter dating the “Starboy” singer. Sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that Mandy didn’t think he would be a “good influence” on Selena.
