Like mother, like daughter. Serena Williams is known for making history on and off the tennis courts, and her newborn Alexis Olympia is following in her footsteps. The four-month-old just became the youngest Vogue cover star ever.

Joining her famous mama for the iconic magazine’s February issue, Serena, 36, looked stunning in a skin-tight red dress while holding Alexis, who rocked a simple white onesie. “When I first saw this @voguemagazine cover it brought tears to my eyes,” the four-time Olympic gold medalist wrote. “All Vogue covers are special but to share this one with my beautiful daughter @olympiaohanian also the youngest Vogue cover star makes it [a] moment I will never forget.”

Inside the pages, Serena, who tied the knot with reddit founder Alexis Ohanian in November, opened up about motherhood and making her tennis comeback. “To be honest, there’s something really attractive about the idea of moving to San Francisco and just being a mom,” she said. “But not yet. Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams. I’m well aware of the record books, unfortunately. It’s not a secret that I have my sights on 25.” (FYI: Serena currently has 23 Grand Slam titles).

She continued, “And actually, I think having a baby might help. When I’m too anxious I lose matches, and I feel like a lot of that anxiety disappeared when Olympia was born. Knowing I’ve got this beautiful baby to go home to makes me feel like I don’t have to play another match. I don’t need the money or the titles or the prestige. I want them, but I don’t need them. That’s a different feeling for me.”

Serena and Alexis welcomed Alexis Jr. this past September and revealed her birth was not easy. “We’re leaving the hospitals after six days,” Serena said at the time “It’s been a long time but we had a lot of complications but look what we got. We got a baby girl.” We have a feeling Alexis is going to be fierce just like her mom!
