Before performing at the World Cup for the third time on Sunday, Shakira spoke about how her life has changed since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
“[I] will never forget that I met the love of my life at the World Cup,” she said, in reference to meeting Gerard while promoting “Waka Waka (Time for Africa).”

The two now have an 18-month-old son, Milan, together. She also added, “If it wasn’t for the World Cup my son Milan would not be here.”
The 37-year-old singer is set to perform “La La La (Brazil 2014)” with Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown at the Argentina vs. Germany final match that will take place in Maracana Stadium in Brazil.

Even though Gerard, 27, and his team, Spain, didn’t make it to the finals, The Voice judge was there to console him after being defeated. But, she didn’t mention how.
