Shawn Johnson is no stranger to reaching milestones. She scored big at the 2008 Summer Olympics, danced her way to the top on Season 8 of Dancing With the Stars, but her next endeavor just might be the most anticipated of them all: walking down the aisle.

Life & Style caught up with the former Olympian this week and she dished on all that goes into planning a dream wedding. “You can spend a million dollars easily planning a wedding,” Shawn laughed. “Trying to find the best deals and still have your dream wedding is definitely difficult, but it’s a good, fun challenge.”

Shawn and her football player fiancé, Andrew East, got engaged during a Cubs game at Wrigley Field in Chicago last July. The pair will wed on April 16 in what the athlete calls a “laid-back, unique” affair in Nashville.

The couple, both 24, has been busy sorting out last-minute details, from booking an on-site donut truck to their guest list, which includes football players, Olympic gymnasts and Dancing With the Stars alums.

While Shawn's big day is only weeks away, the certified trainer admits she’s been training herself and eating clean to ensure she has that “ah” moment in her custom wedding dress designed by Nashville designer Olia Zavozina.

“I’m living off of fruits, veggies and meats, running a lot and working on my arms,” she shared. “You know, every girl wants a toned arm for a wedding dress!”

Amidst her own planning, Shawn has partnered with WeddingWire’s #justsaidyes campaign, a contest that allowes couples from all over the country to share their engagement stories. She will have the honor of choosing the winning couple, which will receive a $5,000 registry from Macy’s and a honeymoon from Marriott.

“Just reading through the stories and getting to know the brides and grooms has been so fun, not to mention it reminds me of my own proposal. I get to live the greatest moment ever, everyday,” she said.
