Who knew Kim Kardashian could be so inspired by a Disney character?
The new mom attended The Hollywood Reporter’s 2013 Women in Entertainment Breakfast in LA today and sported a much brighter look than she’s been rocking recently.
Wearing a gold silk knee-length dress and matching long coat, Kim channeled her inner Belle from the 1991 classic Disney film, Beauty and the Beast. In the movie, the cartoon character trades her drab clothes in for a gold ball gown during a date with the Beast, with whom she falls in love.

Like Belle, Kim has a love story of her own – falling for Kanye West, welcoming a child with him and getting engaged. But whereas the Disney heroin’s clothes brightened up after revving up a romance with the Beast, the reality star’s wardrobe has been a whole lot of whites, blacks and creams since she began dating the rapper, 36.
So when she showed up to today’s event, it was a shock to see the old Kim back in action.
North West’s mama topped off her curvaceous look with diamond studded earrings, gold sandals and, of course, her 15-carat stunner from Kanye.
Joining Kim at the event was the Yeezus star, as well as sisters Khloé, Kylie Jenner and momager, Kris Jenner.

The 33-year-old bombshell recently revealed that she trusts Kanye’s fashion advice and dresses to make him happy. “You want your guy to think you’re really hot,” she explained. “I’ll put something on and he’ll say, ‘No, that doesn’t look good,’ and I’ll trust him.”
In fact, Kanye overhauled the star’s wardrobe on a 2012 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And although Kim’s style has changed since they began seeing each other, Kanye recently said he’s not trying to control her.

“Nobody can tell my girl what to do. She just needed to be given some platform of information to work from,” he told W magazine in June, adding, “For her to take that risk in front of the world, it just shows you how much she loves me. And how much she actually loves the opportunity to learn.”
