Even though Game of Thrones fans will have to wait until 2019 for the Season 8 premiere, the cast of the HBO hit show already knows how the story will end. Sophie Turner (who plays Sansa Stark) recently caught up with The Hollywood Reporter to spill some (mild!) spoilers about what the audience can expect to happen in Westeros during the final season.

“It was very, very bittersweet,” she admitted. “The first day of the actors coming in and that kind of production starting, the day where we had the final read-through for the final script, it was really bittersweet. It was hard. At the end of the very last script, they read aloud, ‘End of Game of Thrones.’ As soon as they read that out, pretty much everyone burst into tears.”

This leaves fans wondering whether those tears indicate a sad ending, or if they are just the result of a show that means so much to so many people finally coming to an end. “I’m getting goosebumps now thinking about it,” the 21-year-old actress continued. “It was a shock to the system. We actually realized, reading that ‘end of Game of Thrones‘ line, that that was it. When you’re in it, you don’t really see an end point. It’s just an ongoing thing you’re living with. It was a real shock. It was really sad, but there was an immense amount of pride, too. We realized we had done it. We had created this amazing thing, and that’s it now. It was just a feeling of pride.”

And Sophie isn’t the only star of the show who has admitted to becoming emotional after reading the ending. In fact, Kit Harington (who plays Jon Snow) previously revealed that he was moved by how the show ends as well.

“We had the read-through last week, in fact, so I know everything now,” Kit, 30, said on The One Show on Friday, Oct. 20. “But I cried at the end. You have to remember that eight years of it, no one really cares about it more than us.” Is it 2019 yet?!
