The stars came out in droves on May 1 to celebrate the second Mary J.
Blige Honors Concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, and Life
& Style has all the exciting party details!
Jennifer Hudson, Dianna Agron and Evan Rachel Wood were among the celebrity attendees of the event, which was hosted by Mary J. herself, Queen Latifah and Elle's Robbie Myers in support of the scholarship fund for the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN).
Jennifer took the stage at 9 p.m. and gave "a powerful performance,"
an attendee tells Life & Style. "She really rocked the ballroom and
even her friends were shocked by how amazing her body looked! The
crowd went crazy when Jennifer started singing, 'I Am Woman.'"
By 9:30, Mary J. introduced a "very dear and talented friend,"
Christina Aguilera, to the stage. "Christina sang 'Beautiful' with her eyes closed," says the attendee. "There was so much emotion in her voice."
But the party reached its peak when Mary J., the queen of
hip-hop and soul, delivered a moving performance of "No More Drama."
The crowd, including Corrine Bailey Rae, Ellen Pompeo and Kerry Washington, grooved to the music all night long. Dree Hemingway (pictured above) enjoyed the evening's special Belvedere cocktails: the Ffoenix Sparkler and Diva Ffizz.
