KoKo does a body good! In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Revenge Body alum Stephanie Perez — who appeared on the very first episode of Khloé Kardashian’s body transformation series in January 2017 — revealed how the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s support was crucial to her 27-pound weight loss.

“Honestly, Khloé is the most comforting person in the entire world. Just being able to sit down with her was so helpful. She would share things with me that you would never expect someone who has such a public life to share. She was being so open and vulnerable with me, so it made me so comfortable to be that way with her and everyone around me,” the 20-year-old college student said. “And throughout the whole experience, she was just very, very supportive and she never had anything negative to say.”

According to Stephanie, the reality TV queen’s kind words were all the encouragement she needed to work hard during the 12 weeks she spent filming the show. “She’d always tell us things like, ‘You’re growing, you’re growing.’ It was never, ‘Work harder, work harder.’ She’d always say, ‘You’re doing fine. You’re doing what you can and that’s enough. And that’s what’s important,’” Stephanie recalled. “She knows exactly the process and she knows how hard it can be. She knows how to do it and she knows that it is doable for everybody.”

Indeed, Khloé — whose self-esteem took a toll after years of being considered the “fat sister” in the genetically blessed Kardashian-Jenner clan — clapped back at her haters by getting in the best shape of her life. Though Khloé is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson, Stephanie kept the E! personality’s pre-pregnancy body in mind while she was breaking a sweat in group classes at LA’s Training Mate (twice a day!) and swapping fast food for “super clean eating.”

“It was so inspiring to me. I always thought she looked so good, but then seeing how much your body can change to look even better, it’s crazy,” she told Life & Style. “And I loved how it was clear that she was so much happier and so much more confident. Khloé is just radiant now.”

These days, Stephanie is feeling equally radiant. She’s happier than ever not just because she’s been able to keep those 27 pounds off — all while adding bread and Mexican food back into her diet! — but also because Khloé and the producers of Revenge Body, along with her handsome and perpetually positive trainer, Training Mate’s Luke Milton, taught her how to love herself.

“I definitely learned to love so many different parts of my body. I used to look at certain parts of my body and be like, ‘That’s disgusting. That’s horrible.’ It was just being able to see myself differently,” she said, adding that she refuses to allow the negative opinions of others to affect her anymore. “My mental state is different and I definitely don’t put up with BS from anyone now. I used to let people walk all over me. I would let people say things to me that weren’t right.”

The best part about finally gaining a sense of self-love? Stephanie — who is currently studying communications, but considering a future career in fitness — isn’t scared of putting a pound or two back on. “I look in the mirror and it might say that I’ve gained a little bit of weight back. And now it’s like, ‘You know what? That’s fine. I’ll lose it by next week. Watch.’ And even if I don’t, it’s fine,” she proudly shared with Life & Style. “I just really learned to love who I am and how I am. I’m enough and I’m as good as it’s gonna get. That’s what I always say. If you don’t like it, then it sucks for you.”
