Back Together? Why ‘Flip or Flop’ Star Christina El Moussa Agreed to Work With Tarek Again (EXCLUSIVE)
After a messy split in 2016, Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa are back together — at least, professionally.
Sources tell Life & Style exclusively that money, family, and love were all reasons behind Christina’s decision to sign on for Season 7 of the HGTV show with her estranged husband, with whom she has two kids, daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 21 months.

“Christina realized she and Tarek are stronger overall as a unit,” a source close to the reality star reveals. “But Tarek still better be on his best behavior, on and off set.”

An HGTV insider admits that it took some coaxing before the 33-year-old mom agreed to resume filming. “She was hesitant about signing on to film more episodes with Tarek because of what he put her through in the past,” the insider shares. “Once the money was presented, though, Christina changed her mind. It was a good offer.”
Those past incidents include the 35-year-old threatening to rape his wife in front of crew members. “[He would say], ‘Shut up, woman, or I’ll rape you.’ He actually joked about raping Christina on more than one occasion. Tarek thinks it’s funny,” an eyewitness told Life & Style in January.

There was even a discussion last spring during which “the crew was asked to be efficient with takes so that there was no downtime for Tarek and Christina on set,” a source recalled. “When there’s downtime, bad things happen.”
When speaking out about the deterioration of her marriage, Christina said, “Like any couple, we had our share of issues. I just hope [Tarek’s] happy.”
As for their future on HGTV, she stated, “We look forward to continuing the show. It’s our normal. We also run a seminar company together, Success Path, and every five weeks we go to Vegas together… We’ll always be working together.”
