See What Taylor Hicks and the Rest of the ‘American Idol’ Winners Look Like Now!
It’s been one year since American Idol crowned its final winner, and we miss the FOX singing competition more than we expected!
One of our favorite moments from the last season will forever be Kelly Clarkson’s performance of her hit song “Piece by Piece” — which didn’t leave a dry eye in the audience.

“It was just, stars aligned for me to really be screwed emotionally [that night]," she told Elvis Duran on the Z100 Morning Show of the Grammy-nominated performance. "It was just the last time I was on Idol and my little kid is running around the same hallways that I was running around at 19. I was just super screwed!”
Afterwards, the 34-year-old tweeted, “What an emotional night. Thanks @AmericanIdol for such a beautiful beginning & a perfect ending.”
While winners such as Kelly and Carrie Underwood have stayed in the spotlight, others like Taylor Hicks have kept more of a low profile, though he recently found his way back to TV as the host of a food show called State Plate.
When speaking about the finale, Taylor shared, “I felt very nostalgic that night, not only seeing all the other people that have been on the show, but seeing the crew and the producers. It make you feel like you were part of one of the biggest TV shows in the history of television. I'm blessed to have been on a show of that stature.”
