Taylor Swift Looks Stunning as a Bridesmaid at Her Best Friend Abigail’s Wedding
It’s her best friend’s wedding! Taylor Swift traveled to Martha’s Vineyard this past weekend to act as a bridesmaid in her best friend’s wedding and people are freaking out over how gorgeous the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer looked.
Taylor and Abigail Anderson met their freshman year of high school and bonded over being curly-haired outcasts. The rest is (well-documented!) history. Abigail is even the star of one of Tay’s songs “Fifteen,” from her sophomore album Fearless. After meeting as teens, Taylor, 27, and Abigail 27, never slowed down their friendship, with Tay even bringing Abigail as her Grammys date in 2015.
The pop star wore a burgundy-colored, floor-length gown for the celebration, her hair in soft waves as she was spotted entering the church. Like any good bridesmaid, Taylor help up the hem of Abigail’s wedding gown as she proceeded up the steps to Old Whaling Church in Edgartown. Also in attendance was Taylor’s mom, Andrea Swift.
Abigail became engaged to her longtime boyfriend Matt Lucier a year ago, at the time calling it on Instagram, “the easiest question I’ve ever been asked.” The Tennessee native tied the knot over the weekend in front of a ton of her closest friends and family members. During the days leading up to the marriage, Abigail was busy enjoying her bachelorette party in Mexico with her “Bride Tribe” — four of her bridesmaids. Taylor was not pictured in any of the images, which had many fans speculating if she would be a part of the service at all. Of course, she came through and was present for Abigail’s big day!
Though Abigail is her longtime bestie, this is hardly Taylor’s first time serving in a bridal party. The singer — who is reportedly dating actor Joe Alwyn — also served as Maid of Honor at her childhood best friend’s wedding. Taylor has been friends with Britany Maack since they were just four years old when they both lived in Pennsylvania.

Tay even delivered a Maid of Honor speech. Of Britany’s love with now-husband Benjamin LaManna, Taylor said, “It would be so magically unpredictable, but at the same time, so incredibly fated, just like the best love stories are.”
“My favorite accomplishment of my entire life is that everything in my life has changed except for me and Britany,” she continued. “She was my partner in crime at Brownie’s sleepaway camp and she was my date to the Grammys. And little did either of us know that prince charming for Britany would be the kid that sat next to me in class with a bowl cut and a Lego lunchbox.”
