Taylor Swift just made a lot of New York City residents very happy! The songstress has donated $50,000 to the city's public school system — but that's just the beginning!
After releasing her hit single 'Welcome to New York' last October, Taylor announced that all of the proceeds from the song would be given to NYC's public schools. So this was hardly a one-time donation!

Since making the Big Apple her permanent resident a year ago, the 25-year-old has become a semi-ambassador of the city, and even performed during the New Year's Eve celebrations in Times Square.
"Any time I talk to anyone or any time I do an interview, I'm like, 'You don't understand...You have to go to New York," Taylor previously said on 'The Late Show.' "Just drop what you're doing, and go there. It's amazing. It's the greatest place ever."
