On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Bachelor alum Gia Allemand's death was caused from taking her own life.
Despite her bubbly personality, some friends have revealed that the 29-year-old brunette beauty did exhibit warning signs.
Sources tell TMZ that Gia "had been extremely upset about a rocky relationship with her boyfriend Ryan Anderson."
Other insiders claim the reality star constantly fought insecurities and demons of her own.
“I could tell there was some insecurity going,” Reid Rosenthal, a friend and contestant on season five of The Bachelorette, told FOX 411. “Nothing surprises me anymore. I don’t know what she needed out of life. It’s sad. The last I heard we were supposed to be at an event this Thursday together.”
The model was removed from life support in a New Orleans hospital on Wednesday — two days after Ryan found her hanging in her home.
“I am deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans,” Ryan said in a statement. “Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile.”
Gia began dating the NBA player, 25, in 2011.
The Bachelor star had been quite vocal on social media leading up to her death. Her last tweet on Aug. 11 was a Bible verse:
Proverbs 21:3 "Doing what is right and fair pleases The Lord more than an offering"— Gia Allemand (@GiaAllemand) August 11, 2013
Gia starred on Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor in 2010-2011. She was also on Bachelor Pad later that year.
