Today is a big day for Prince William and Kate Middleton — it's her due date!
While we patiently wait for the Royal Baby's arrival, Life & Style has the inside scoop on what will happen after the pair welcome their little guy or gal.
Check out what they can expect in the first week of parenthood:
Whenever the anticipated birth finally does occur, William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, will be one of the first family members to be notified.
Royal expert and TV host James McCourt tells Life & Style, “a member of the palace staff will hand a notice signed by the medical team to a driver, who will take it from the hospital to Buckingham Palace."
After delivering her new bundle of joy, Kate is expected to stay in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s for two nights, and will have plenty of visitors, such as Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. Though William has voiced his distaste for police protection, an insider shared, “he wants to do everything he can to ensure Kate and the baby are protected.”
Once the royal pair leave the hospital, the world will finally get a peek of the Prince or Princess of Cambridge! Paul Burrell, the late Princess Diana’s former butler, shared with Life & Style, “The baby is going to be wrapped in a blanket in the same way William and Harry were introduced to the world."
When all of the pictures and introductions have concluded, William and Kate will retreat to her childhood home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. Kate’s friend Jessica Hay said the couple feel “so safe and normal there, away from the palace and its rules.”
