As women everywhere get doted on this Mother's Day, we're reminded of our favorite TV moms, who may be fictional, but still hold a special place in our hearts!

Actress Edie Falco, who played Carmela for six seasons, developed a deep love for her character. "Lately American TV has been willing to see the flaws in people. Now all you see are characters striving to be good, but just falling short of it. Viewers want to see more characters they can imagine really existing. Carmela definitely fall[s] into that category," she told The Guardian.
"There are still not as many strong female characters as there are strong male, but there's a fan base for shows with decision-making women," she added.
