Nearly two weeks after Life & Style revealed how Shakira got her pre-baby body back, The Voice coach herself reveals it wasn’t an easy feat.
“[Losing baby weight] is the only thing that’s been a little stressful,” she said at NBCUniversal’s press day on Monday.
She added, “I knew I had to come back here to do The Voice two months after I had delivered a baby. I didn’t have my four months of maternity like every woman on earth has. I’m not trying to complain, but it’s been a process full of challenges.”

The “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress, 36, and her boyfriend Gerard Piqué, 26, welcomed their first child together, a son named Milan, in January.
“I think that our mothers and grandmothers weren’t under the pressure women of today are after delivering a baby,” she shared. “My dad says there’s nothing better than meat over the bones. So he likes my mom a little chubby. She was never under the pressure to have to get to her old weight — and she never did.”
Though she claims she’s still “a few pounds over," the Latin beauty says Zumba has helped get her into shape.

“Even during pregnancy, I kept doing it until almost the end,” she said, adding, “now with The Voice, I don’t have time to exercise and when I have a day off, I just want to be with Milan.”
Even when she’s working, Shakira brings him to the set.

“Being a mother is deliciously overwhelming. It’s surreal. It’s a whole new experience to me, and I am just discovering it second by second,” the beauty recently told Today. “And having him here, it’s great, it’s a new thing, it’s another part of me and my loved one.”
