‘This Is Us’ Star Chrissy Metz Feels “Beautiful and Sexy” in a Swimsuit!

Chrissy Metz is all about that swimsuit life!

The This Is Us star opened up to Life & Style about her recent Harper’s Bazaar photoshoot, in which she rocked a retro-style one-piece, revealing she felt “beautiful and sexy” while posing for pics.

“I feel like no matter where you’re at, sexy is a state of mind and then how you feel inside,” she said. “Of course the thing with beauty is it is an inside job. I firmly believe that. But it was great. The whole Hollywood with the hair and the hat and the cat eye. All of that was really, really fun.”

Chrissy admitted she was surprised at first that the mag suggested she wear a bathing suit. “I have to say, it’s one of those things where, like, you hope that Harper’s Bazaar would ever want to photograph you and then you’re like, ‘Oh, you want me to be showing some skin?!’”

The 36-year-old continued, “It was honestly a surprise and I was so honored and so excited to do it. I thought it was really important… This is important for women to see different shapes and different sizes. Size doesn’t equate beauty and you can redefine what beautiful is. Why does beautiful mean thin and tall on the runway? I don’t understand that.”

The actress, who’s currently dating cameraman Josh Stancil, also talked about whether or not she wants to start a family in the future. “You know, this is going to sound crazy, but I feel like the child chooses the parent. You know, I was married previously for five years to an amazing human being [screenwriter Martyn Eaden]. We’re still friends, and so children had never been like a thing,” she shared.

“It’s hard because of course I want to have all of these amazing things, but it’s not something where I’m like, ‘Checklist, I have to have children, I have to be married.’”
