Mandy Moore plays a mom-of-three on the hit NBC show This Is Us, but is the actress ready to welcome kids of her own soon?
In an interview with E! News at the Elle Women in Television dinner on Thursday, Jan. 19, the 32-year-old admitted she was worried about not being able to relate to her character Rebecca Pearson because she’s not a mom. “I feel like deep down, the soul of who this woman is I’m familiar with,” she shared. “I feel a kinship with her. What I was most concerned about was feeling maternal, not having children myself. But being part of a project like this definitely makes my ovaries start kicking.”

When asked if she and boyfriend of 18 months, Taylor Goldsmith, plan on starting a family, the brunette beauty reportedly smiled and replied, “Maybe. I want kids sooner than later.”

But Mandy won’t be slowing down any time soon. The critically acclaimed drama was just renewed for two more seasons. After hearing the good news, the Golden Globe-nominated actress said, “Hope you’re not sick of us yet… We’re not going anywhere.” Added Milo Ventimiglia, her on-screen hubby, “Who’s excited for 36 more episodes of This Is Us? We’re very excited. We’re going to be with you for a while.”
In a statement to the press, NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke shared, “We all got our wish that this is a hit show. This Is Us is as good as anything we've ever had, we're thrilled to renew it for two seasons and there's no doubt it will have a long life on NBC… In a world where there are literally hundreds of television dramas, we're proud to have one of the very best that is also one of the highest-rated."
