Even though we spent an entire season of reality TV getting to know Tia Booth, we still feel like we don’t really know Tia Booth. Sure, we know that she’s a physical therapist from Weiner, AR, who nearly won Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s heart on The Bachelor but as we’ve slowly learned — and are still learning! — there’s way more than meets the eye when it comes to the 26-year-old.

So what exactly is her deal? Well, first thing’s first — we know that she is already becoming a storyline on this season of The Bachelorette.

Let’s go back to the basics: Who is Tia, really?

Tia made a strong impression when she stepped out of the limo during Arie’s season and gave him a tiny toy hot dog — paying homage to her hometown of Weiner, AR. Additionally, she was known for being IRL friends with Raven Gates — Nick Viall’s runner-up — who first got her involved with the show.

She had a pretty good (albeit, occasionally dramatic) run with Arie — even making it to hometown dates, before being dumped by Arie before fantasy suites. Despite being a bit of a s–t stirrer (most notably, when she told our Bachelor that 22-year-old Bekah Martinez wasn’t mature enough to get married), she was once considered the frontrunner for The Bachelorette, even giving interviews saying that if she was asked, she’d definitely do it.

Of course, Arie had to come in and dump Becca, ruining (among many things, including his own reputation), Tia’s chance at being the Bachelorette. Still, our little Southern firecracker turned up with a smile and seemed pretty convincingly supportive of Becca Kufrin when she was named the next star of The Bachelorette on "After the Final Rose."

Whew! That's a lot of context!

So… Why are we talking about her now!

Great question! Tia, once again, entered the realm of Bachelor Nation during last night’s episode, during which the handsome Colton Underwood disclosed that he and Tia used to date. He was somewhat shy about specifics — but he made it clear that he began talking to Tia before he was cast on the show, but, he explained, “the timing wasn’t right to grow what was a spark into a flame.” He justified their relationship by saying that his feelings weren’t strong enough to move forward in his relationship with Tia, but felt that it was most appropriate to be 100 percent honest with Becca.

Obviously, Becca wasn’t thrilled with the situation. Still, apparently she was willing to learn more considering she gave Colton a rose.

Oh yeah: That also means we definitely haven’t see the last of Tia.

In a preview for the rest of the season, we see that Tia returns — a dramatic moment, which Becca teased for her fans during interviews. “Yeah, they did have a past, so that’s something Tia and I had conversations about,” Becca told Entertainment Tonight after her premiere episode. “They dated. I don’t know how serious it was, but you’ll see all of that unfold throughout the season as well.”

So where does everyone stand today?

That remains to be seen. ABC infamously keeps everyone a tight leash when the show is airing — but we suspect we have major drama ahead for us all!
