It's been almost a year since Tracy Morgan was involved in a serious car accident that killed his friend, James McNair, and left him with debilitating injuries.
But now the 30 Rock star is ready to speak out about the horrifying incident, which occurred on June 7, 2014, when the actor's limousine was rear-ended by a Walmart truck.
"Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal," the actor, who suffered a broken leg, ribs and severe brain trauma, told Matt Lauer on the Today show earlier this morning.
Tracy, who is still using a cane to get around, admits Walmart took full responsibility for the accident after he filed a lawsuit back in 2014.
"The case is settled, but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mac," he said. "He was a close friend of mine, a comrade in comedy. He was a loving man, and he was a warm man. He was a good man. It's just hard for me to see that he's gone."

The 46-year-old's road to recovery seems like a long one, but he still has every intention on returning to comedy ... eventually.
"Right now my goal is just to heal and get better because I'm not 100 percent yet, I'm not," he said. "And when I'm there, you'll know it. I'll get back to making you laugh. I promise you."
