It's been one year since Kristan Seaford became a triple amputee, but she isn't letting her new reality slow her down!
The 39-year-old is inspiring millions with her hard work and determination, training for a 5K and teaching exercise classes, all while sporting one prosthetic leg, one prosthetic foot and two robotic hands after losing four of her limbs to illness.

The mother-of-five contracted the flu and strep throat around Thanksgiving 2013. The sickness turned into pneumonia and sepsis, a potentially deadly combination.
In order for her to survive the infection, Seaford was forced to undergo multiple amputations, losing both her hands, her left leg and part of her right foot in the process.
“I still can't believe that this all really happened," she told People Now. "Every morning I wake up and I look down at my arms and I am told again, this really happened, it wasn't a bad dream.”

Though she may be defying odds now, her journey to this point has been anything but smooth. “My everyday life is difficult to put it nicely," she admitted to the mag. "Just getting my own breakfast, especially getting the kids breakfast, even that first step is hard."
But, Seaford added, "the nice part about it is that every day I do something I was not able to do before."
Can someone give her a Woman of the Year Award already?!
