Now that Jamie Dornan has been confirmed to play Christian Grey in 50 Shades of Grey, there was one important piece of casting to fill in: the role of Christian's older brother Elliott Grey.
The role has gone to hunky Ohio-born actor Luke Grimes, who is best known for his roles on True Blood and Brothers & Sisters. In an ironic twist, Luke's True Blood costar Alexander Skarsgard was reportedly one of the actors who was up for the part of Christian.

In the bestselling E.L. James book trilogy, Elliott is an important supporting character. He gets romantically involved with Kate, the best friend of main female character Anastasia Steele, who will be played by Dakota Johnson. The role of Kate has not yet been cast.
29-year-old Luke's hiring brings the much-anticipated movie just a little bit closer to filming. Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam was originally cast in the role of Christian, but dropped out of the project almost immediately claiming scheduling conflicts. Tony Award-winning actress Jennifer Ehle has been tapped to play Ana's mom, Carla.
