Tyrese Breaks Down in Tears on Social Media Over His Estranged Daughter
This is heartbreaking. Tyrese Gibson took to social media to vent about his ongoing legal troubles involving his ex-wife and daughter Shayla — and filmed his seemingly mental breakdown for his 9 million followers to see.
Wearing a black hoodie that reads “Shayla Rocks,” an emotional Tyrese reveals he has not seen his little girl in two months. “I just want my baby,” the Fast and Furious actor says between sobs. “And no one is listening because no one is in the courtroom. I’m at $13,000 a month. What more do you want from me?” Watch the video below to see Tyrese’s heartfelt pleas.
His fans were obviously concerned for his well-being and wrote to reassure Tyrese that everything would work out. “This too shall past! @tyrese the universe is opening up more blessings for your future! Your intentions are great… keep up the great work,” one follower wrote before another added, “Keep your head up.”
The 38-year-old eventually took the video down and reassured everyone he was fine in a less emotional update. “Contrary to what some of y’all may believe, I’m actually OK,” he said. “And I’m not putting this up calm people down.” Tyrese is currently fighting a restraining order placed against him by his baby mama Norma Gibson, who claims he abused their child. Tyrese has denied the allegations and even flew a banner over his 10-year-old daughter’s school that read “No Matter What, Daddy Still Love You Shayla” to prove his innocence. He claims his ex-wife is trying to alienate him from his child and accused her of “pathological enmeshment.”
Tyrese also accused his famous friends of turning their back on him during this difficult period and revealed he would not be returning to the Fast and Furious franchise if Dwayne Johnson remained on the cast. “I’m sorry to announce that if [Dwayne] is in Fast 9 there will no more Roman Pearce,” he wrote. ‘You mess with family and my daughters’ survival I mess with yours.”
