It’s not the same old love for The Weeknd and Selena Gomez!
The couple is still going strong two months after going public with their romance, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down.
“It’s serious, very serious,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “The Weeknd has already told Selena that he loves her and vice versa. He speaks a couple of languages and has made sure to confess his love in English, French, Spanish, and Amharic.”
Along with professing his affection for Selena, 24, The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) also tells her he loves her in the language of any country they travel to.
“He doesn’t speak Portuguese but learned how to say ‘I love you’ [in the language],” the source added. “Selena, of course, loves how romantic he is and melts every time he says those three little words, or two, depending on the language.”

While the couple has no problem proclaiming their love for one another, don’t expect the private pair to open up to fans about their relationship anytime soon.
In an interview with Vogue, the “Hands to Myself” singer explained that “everything she has said about her relationships in the past has come back to bite her, and that she will never do it again.”
She continued, “Look, I love what I do, and I’m aware of how lucky I am. But, how can I say this without sounding weird? I just really can’t wait for people to forget about me.”

Selena might be happier than ever with Abel, 27, following her stint in rehab last year, but not everyone is sure he’s the best influence for the former Disney Channel star — including her mom, Mandy!
“Mandy has met Abel and thinks he is respectful in person, but she doesn’t think he’s a good influence on Selena,” a source told Life & Style exclusively, before adding that she doesn’t approve of his “dirty and drug-related lyrics.”
“A lot of Selena’s friends and family fear that she’ll go down the wrong path again,” the source shared. “They feel she needs to be surrounded by healthy people.”
