Blood, sweat, and tears. That's what Kenny "Pretty Boy Pitbull" King shed for Rachel Lindsay on tonight's episode of The Bachelorette.

Leading up to week six of the reality dating competition, trailers hinted Kenny would suffer a battle wound on the quest for Rachel's love — and many thought it was caused by this season's villain Lee.

Luckily for viewers, and Rachel, Lee was sent home on the two-on-one date without getting to blows with the professional wrestler, even though the pair got close.

Instead, Kenny's bloodied eye was caused in his Viking duel with fellow contestant Adam, who was also injured when their shields bounced off each other in Copenhagen.

Despite the cut to his left eye, Kenny went on to win the Viking crown on the group date, but unfortunately, it was not enough to get a rose from Rachel.

"I'm fighting my ass off to prove myself," he said before being eliminated. "There's a possibility that all this will end up OK."

Rachel chose to send the father-of-one home after it was revealed they both felt they had not made enough progress in their relationship — and Kenny was not ready to introduce the 31-year-old attorney to his 10-year-old daughter McKenzie.

"The last couple of weeks have not been the greatest, he told Rachel, "and I'm not 100 percent confident in where we at."

He continued, "When it comes to [McKenzie], I get very defensive and protective and I wouldn't want her to get caught up in all this."

Despite saying goodbye to Rachel, Kenny had only praise for the Bachelorette

"If McKenzie grew up to be like Rachel, I know I did my job," he said.

We're going to miss you, Kenny. Josiah, Anthony, and Will were also sent home from the show.
