Can it be Janu-Arie already?! Bachelor Nation is not-so-patiently awaiting the Season 22 premiere of The Bachelor — which features racecar hunk Arie Luyendyk Jr. — but it seems like it’s still so far away. The premiere is set to air on Monday, January 1 at 8 p.m. on ABC! But when is The Bachelor on throughout the season?

Fans can expect to clear their Monday night schedules because the show will air on every Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC! Get ready to fall in love with Arie all over again — he first stole hearts in Bachelor Nation during Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette — but now he’s coming back on his own terms, finally returning to the franchise after a nearly four-year hiatus.

Filming is already well underway — impatient fans can read our Bachelor Season 22 spoilers here, at your own risk, of course — and it seems like Arie is really shining in his new role and hopefully, he finds his leading lady this time! Sources previously revealed to Life & Style that finally becoming The Bachelor is a dream come true for Arie.

“He’s wanted to star on The Bachelor forever,” reveals a source. “He’s gotten close a few times. They’ve dragged him along before.”

Arie was in the running to become the Season 17 bachelor, but the role was eventually given away to Sean Lowe — who was third runner-up on Emily’s season, competing alongside Arie. “In the past, he’s told all his friends he was going to be the Bachelor, and then boom — he wasn’t,” the source explained.

But even though Arie lost out to Sean, the two remain good friends and Arie even reached out to his pal for some advice before he embarked on his own Bachelor journey. “I told him to stay open-minded and not to find the most attractive girl the first night and only have eyes for her,” Sean revealed to Us Weekly. “Hopefully he takes my advice.”
