Amy Schumer and Her New Beau Just Became Instagram Official
Things are heating up for Amy Schumer and her new chef boyfriend, Chris Fischer. After months of sparking dating rumors, the actress finally confirmed the exciting news by sharing a PDA-filled pic on Instagram. The comedian attended Ellen DeGeneres‘ 60th birthday party with her new beau on Feb 12.
“Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us!” the 36-year-old star wrote on Instagram. But, if you’re a fan of the I Feel Pretty star then you’re probably asking yourself who is Amy Schumer dating?
Chris calls Martha’s Vineyard home and isn’t in show business like Amy — he’s a farmer, cook, and teacher at Boston University. While his girlfriend’s career is spent writing, producing, and starring in comedy blockbusters, he’s much more content growing food outdoors.
“I have a nontraditional approach to work,” he explained in a Boston University interview. “I jumped into the chef world, but without a chefly background and was so focused for the first two and a half years that I taught myself to run Babbo’s three-star kitchen when I was 25… I grew up with a dad and a grandfather who were extremely thrifty. Getting dinner was an activity. My dad more than anyone displayed to me the pure joy of growing and raising food.”

The 36-year-old chef first got his start in his career after meeting Mario Catali’s sous chef at the NYC Italian restaurant. But, just because Chris hails from New England doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his connections to Hollywood too. According to E! News, he reportedly met the Food Network star through actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
Amy’s fans are already super supportive of her new relationship. “Awwww!! Please take a good care of Amy!!! She is so lovely and funny!” one fan wrote. Another added, “You keep living your life and being the fabulous you! Congratulations!” We can’t wait to see more of Amy and Chris.
