It's a Girl!: Kim Kardashian Accidentally Reveals the Gender of Baby No. 3!

After two high-risk pregnancies, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are having a baby via surrogacy — and she just confirmed the couple is expecting a baby girl.

The reality star made an appearance on The Ellen Show, and while talking about how her kids were preparing for another sibling, she let the gender accidentally slip. "People brought toys and gifts. [North] was opening them all up the next day and she said, 'Mom, Baby Sister's not here. I think I need all of her toys in my room. I'll play with them and just make sure they're OK for Baby Sister,'" she told the talk show host. When Ellen asked whether she just admitted she was having another girl, Kim quickly responded, "Yes, it is. North is really excited about that. She's so excited. Let's see if it lasts."

While Kim is not physically pregnant the third time around, she is making it very clear that surrogacy was not the easy way out. "I think it is so much harder to go through it this way because you are not really in control," she recently told Entertainment Tonight. "And, you know, obviously, you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still . . . knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it’s hard for me. It’s definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area.”

And while the brunette beauty, who recently hosted a cherry blossom-themed baby shower, hated being pregnant in the past, she would have preferred to have carried her third child, if it was possible. “That inner struggle is kind of hard, but I am just rolling with it,” Kim added. “And it is what it is . . . I think it is definitely a different experience and I am blessed that I am able to this, and technology is the way that it is that we can do this. But it is still a process that you need to digest.”

In the trailer for the current season of KUWTK, Kim confirmed the exciting news with sister Khloé Kardashian, who is also expecting a baby along with little sister Kylie Jenner. "We're having a baby," Kim tells her sister over FaceTime. Previously, Kim opened up about making the decision to turn to a surrogate.

"If the two doctors that I trust have told me it wouldn’t be safe for me to get pregnant again, I have to listen to that," Kim revealed last season. "But because I don't know anyone that has been a surrogate or used one, I didn't really think about that as an option for me."

So why did Kim turn to surrogacy? After Kim's traumatic robbery in Paris, the mom-of-two revealed that her and Kanye's desire to grow their brood had only grown stronger. "I'd love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that’s safe," she said in a confessional. But the 37-year-old could face a lot of problems if she chose to carry the baby herself.

Kim experienced a host of issues while pregnant with both of her children. In addition to struggling with infertility, Kim suffered from placenta accreta — a condition in which the placenta grows deeply into the uterus, making it unable to detach after delivery. A fully or partially-retained placenta can cause postpartum hemorrhage, fever, cramps, and an inability to breastfeed.

In addition to placenta accreta, Kim also experienced preeclampsia while carrying North. Symptoms of preeclampsia include fluid retention and sky-rocketing blood pressure. Though the brunette beauty's previous tests for gestational diabetes came back negative, she was also at high risk of becoming diabetic while pregnant.

According to reports, the A-list couple's surrogate is due in January. Now, we just have to wait until Kylie and Khloé confirm their pregnancies...
