Will Smith just transformed into The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's Uncle Phil before our eyes!
Fans of the '90s sitcom freaked out on Tuesday, March 14, when Buzzfeed compared a photo of the 48-year-old bungee jumping (aka flipped, turned upside down) to a pic of James Avery, the late actor who played his family member on the hit show.

It's unbelievable how much Will looks like his on-screen relation, down to the facial hair! The resemblance is so uncanny that one person suggested, "Imagine Will Smith bringing back The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and he plays Uncle Phil and passed the torch to another young bull to play him."

The father-of-three has yet to respond to the comparison, though we're sure he's seen it. As those who grew up with the series know, it follows a street-smart teenager sent to live with his wealthy aunt and uncle in Bel-Air after he "got in one little fight" on the playground.
Following James' death in 2013 from open heart surgery complications, Will posted a touching tribute on Facebook. “Some of my greatest lessons in Acting, Living and being a respectable human being came through James Avery. Every young man needs an Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace," he wrote at the time.

But for fans hoping to see a reboot of the popular show, don't hold your breath. When asked about the possibility in 2016, Will answered, “I don’t think ever — like, pretty close to when Hell freezes over. Pretty close, like, we’re gonna leave that one alone.”
Alfonso Ribeiro (who played Carlton) seconded that sentiment, telling HuffPost Live “[it] ain’t gonna happen.” He added, "If it happened, it wouldn’t be Fresh Prince. It would be something that’s taking the story of the show and having all new people do something. To me, that’s not Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. There’s one Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Is Will Smith starring in it? No. Then it ain’t no Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
