<p><span></span>After <strong>Rachel Crow</strong>'s shocking elimination on the Dec. 8 episode of <a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=the x factor&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><em>The X Factor</em></a>, fans were outraged -- especially at judge <a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=nicole scherzinger&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><strong>Nicole Scherzinger</strong></a>. </p>
Nicole was forced to make a decision to either save 13-year-old Rachel on the spot or let America's votes decide between Rachel and Marcus Canty. Nicole let America choose, and Rachel was sent packing.
But not without upset. The audience booed Nicole as she was given a chance to explain herself onstage, but the singer stayed quiet -- until now.
Talking with Life & Style, Nicole explains that while it was a very emotional night, she and Rachel have made peace.
"I feel better now because Rachel consoled me," she told Life & Style following last night's episode. "She came in my room and we talked. She said, 'Everything's going to be okay.' I told her how much I love and adore her and how I've always believed in her."
And Nicole tells Life & Style she really thought Rachel would be saved. "This is Marcus' third time in the bottom, and Rachel's never been in the bottom, so the probability was that America would have sent Marcus home," she confides to Life & Style.
Make sure to tune in to The X Factor on Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. on Fox to see the remaining four contestants sing for a chance to make the final three.
