The Lucky One will always be one of our favorite Nicholas Sparks’ movies — and it’s not just because of a shirtless Zac Efron.

Five years after the premiere of the romantic drama, we still swoon about Logan’s journey to find Beth, played by Taylor Schilling, who unknowingly saved him from a mortar attack in Iraq.

Set in Louisiana, Logan gets a job to be closer to Beth and things get steamy — until Beth finds out about the photo and the couple must rebuild trust.

“There’s a cynical part of you that red flags go off on a couple lines,” Zac said of the script, “but then I think back to moments I’ve been in and I’ve said things way, way crazier than that. So it’s all relative. There was a little bit of shivering when I realized I was going to do that on camera, but I think a bit of pride too.”

Zac trained with Navy SEALS to prepare for the role.

The former Disney Channel star put on 17 pounds of muscle for the 2012 movie thanks to his new military friends.

"There was a lot [of training]," he told MTV. "We had to train with the dogs, I did a lot of training physically to prepare for the role and training with the Marines and Navy SEALS. It was all very, very fun but a lot in-depth. The more training you do, the more it becomes second nature, and it was a great experience. I've never had more fun preparing for a role."

Taylor Schilling has never seen High School Musical!

The OITNB star revealed that she has never seen the musical that made her co-star famous.

"The cool thing for me in this movie is that I had never seen High School Musical," she said. "I knew of him. I only knew the person I saw in front of me at my screen test, which was this man, this very attractive man. He's not a teenager at all!"

Zac became a dog whisperer on the set.

"We went through so much, man, me and that dog, me and Rowdy," he told Collider. "It was amazing because the first time I met him, I wasn’t even allowed to engage him because the dog loses respect for you if you do that… He was the best actor on the set. Super, super talented. Yeah, I grew very attached to the dog."
