At a press conference about her upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, the 31-year-old, who looked stunning in a white long sleeve dress, walked out and asked the media, “Will you all please stand?”

Before anyone could ask a question, she belted out the Star Spangled Banner without any background music — and she sounded amazing.
“I am a perfectionist,” she explained. “And one thing about me: I practice ‘till my feet bleed. I did not have any time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show… Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check… I did not feel comfortable singing live.”

And if you think she'll lip-sync at the Super Bowl — think again. The mama of Blue Ivy says she will, “absolutely be singing live.”
This is the first time the superstar has spoken publicly about the incident after a representative from the U.S. Marine Band said she wasn’t singing live. Shortly after, the rep backtracked on the initial statement.
