1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton announced that she married Caleb Willingham in November 2022. Sadly, Caleb died on June 30, 2023, at the age of 40. Now, fans will watch Tammy pay her respects to her late husband.

Who Was Tammy Slaton’s Husband, Caleb Willingham?

Caleb was a patient at the same weight loss treatment center that Tammy was living at in Ohio. The couple met after Tammy entered the rehab facility for her food addiction in November 2021.

Tammy was initially set to go home but due to a serious trach infection, her stay was extended against her wishes — however, it was during that time she got to know Caleb.

Caleb had been at the facility for nearly a year, but Tammy explained during the March 7 episode that he was just “starting to come out of his room ‘cause he had health issues.”

Caleb later admitted his best friend’s wife found the reality TV star on social media and it was motivation to get serious about his own health.

“Not just about you, but about this place, in general,” he told her during a later scene. “Just hearing about how well somebody was able to. I said, ‘Hey, I can do this too.’”

In her own confessional, Tammy admitted it “might be a tad bit stalker-ish but I ain’t mad at him.”

When Did Tammy Slaton Get Engaged to Caleb Willingham?

The couple got engaged in October 2022, a source told The Sun in November. Their engagement later played out during season 4 of 1000-Lb. Sisters.

“So today, I decided I’d set up a little something for Tammy,” Caleb said in a confessional during the March 7, 2023, episode. “I’m rounding everyone up — our friends, even the staff — and at this point she knows something’s up because why is she in the parking lot? She starts shaking a little bit and turning red and doing everything that’s absolutely adorable to me about her.”

In the scene, Caleb proposed to Tammy outside of the rehab facility they stayed in.

“So, it’s just been a short time, but I know without a doubt you are the most beautiful, amazing wonderful person I’ve ever known. Will you marry me?” he said to Tammy before sliding a ring on her finger.

Prior to his death, Caleb reportedly planned to move to Kentucky with Tammy when he was able to leave the rehab facility.

“I’m having my ups and downs I guess. It hurt when Grandma died, but this is a different kind of hurt,” Tammy said to her family before acknowledging that it was a “pretty day.”

Amy weighed in on her sister’s grief during a confessional, admitting, “Tammy’s numb right now.”

“She don’t know how to feel. She don’t know how to process grief like a normal human being,” Amy explained to the cameras. “We were told to push our feelings down, not to embrace them. So she’s just trying to manage the way she can.” However, Tammy let her emotions run freely once she was greeted by her and Caleb’s friends at the service and welcomed them with tearful hugs.
